While snug, it uses high-stretch Italian fabrics to ensure you don't feel restricted during everyday training or racing.

The Mens Pro Maximus Bib Shorts feature a specialised 14mm long-distance chamois with 20% higher density than standard pro pads. This extra density provides superior ischiatic support, ensuring the foam doesn't bottom out during extended days in the saddle.

3. What is the difference between the matte fabric in the Pro Maximus Bibs vs your Pro Bibs fabric?
The Pro Maximus Bibs feature a premium, matte (non-shiny) Italian fabric designed for superior color depth, comfort, and a stylish, modern aesthetic. While our standard Pro Bibs focus on performance, the Pro Maximus range steps up in fabrication to offer a more luxurious matte finish and improved compression with superior stretch and recovery properties.

4. How do I care for my bibs to ensure they last?
Yes. The top layer of the chamois is integrated with carbon thread, a rapid-dry fabric that naturally enhances antibacterial properties and reduces odour buildup.

5. Should I wear underwear with these bibs?
No. Cycling bibs are strictly designed to be worn without underwear. The chamois is engineered to sit directly against your skin to wick moisture and prevent the chafing that occurs when underwear seams rub against your body during repetitive pedaling.

What size should I choose?
Choosing the right size cycling bib shorts comes down to the fit you prefer and how you ride. Most performance cycling bib shorts are designed to fit close to the body to reduce fabric gathering & chaffing. This means they should feel snug when standing, but comfortable and natural once you’re in the riding position.

Designed to be a true-to-size fit based on Australian sizing standards, offering a comfortable, performance-oriented feel without being an overly tight European style fit.

If you prefer a tight, race-style fit, choose your usual size for a streamlined, aerodynamic feel. If you prefer a slightly more relaxed fit for casual riding or extra comfort, you may prefer to size up.

As a guide, the bib should sit close to the body without restricting movement, with the leg bands staying in place while you ride. A well-fitted cycling bib will feel supportive and comfortable—like a second skin—once you’re on the bike.

To find your Brooklyn Project size, refer to our size chart at the bottom of the page and match your chest, waist, and hip measurements. The waist & hip are the most important measures for the bibs. We also recommend sticking with your usual pants/shorts size (for example 32" = M, 34" = L, 36" XL etc).

How do I wash and care for my bibs?
Machine wash cold (20–30°C/70–85°F) using mild detergent. Do not use fabric softeners, iron, or dry clean. Hang dry in the shade to maintain fabric performance and prevent fading from direct sunlight.

  Every effort is made to have your parcel delivered on the following business day, depending on your delivery address.

  Deliveries for the rest of the world are made using Australia Post's international express rates and may take between 5 - 10 business days.

Our items are checked thoroughly before they are sent. Although our products are of high quality things don't always work out or you may have purchased the wrong size or colour. If for any reason you’re dissatisfied with your retail purchase, you can return the merchandise for a full refund less postage costs – no questions asked. This does not apply for custom orders.

All retail items returned for exchange or a credit note must be returned in new and an unused condition, in original packaging, labels intact and unworn, and a copy of your receipt should accompany the returned item – This doesn't mean that you can't try the item on, rather that it cannot be 'worn'.

With all custom items where stock is not held, garments cannot be replaced for sizing errors. Please be sure sizing is double checked against our sizing charts before making a purchase.
